A best practice is a method or technique that has consistently shown results superior to those achieved with other means, and that is used as a benchmark. In addition, a "best" practice can evolve to become better as improvements are discovered.
Best practice describe the process of developing and following a standard way of doing things.
Wu Wei - (not doing)
At least three meanings given to Wu Wei.
- "Do not do anything. Observe. Act only if it is in the order of thing to do so."
- "Let Nature take its course with no interference."
- "…a man or woman whose life is in perfect harmony with the way things are."
So, what else is new, not that it really matters. Take and use whatever works!
But always, Verify everything.
Becoming a Creative Channel
To whatever degree you listen to and follow your intuition, you become a “creative channel” for the higher power of the universe.
When you willingly follow where your creative energy leads, the higher power can come through you to manifest its creative work. When this happens, you will find yourself flowing with the energy, doing what you really want to do, and feeling the power of the universe moving through you to create or transform everything around you.
In using the words creative channel, I am not referring to the psychic process of trance channeling. Trance channeling involves a medium who goes into a trance state and allows another being to speak through him or her. When I use the term channeling, I mean being in touch with and bringing through the wisdom and creativity of your own deepest source.
Being a channel is being fully and freely yourself and consciously knowing that you are a vehicle for the creativity of the universe.
Conscious Labor and Intentional Suffering — Being-Partkdolg-Duty
From: JG Bennett website – by George Bennett
I propose to talk this morning about conscious labor and intentional suffering – being-Partkdolg-duty.
The phrase, in either form, recurs throughout Beelzebub’s Tales, and it is a key concept in Gurdjieff’s presentation.
But I believe it has to be much more than an idea for us. Gurdjieff, through his alter-ego Beelzebub, makes two things crystal clear.
- Being-Partkdolg-duty is an obligation for all three-brained being
- Our planet is in dire straits precisely because we are not actualizing it.
If that is the case, and if we take Beelzebub at all seriously, we need to understand what is meant by conscious labor and intentional suffering in theory, and how we are to actualize it in practice.
A clear definition for “fierce egalitarianism” apparently does not exist in any conventional reference material.
Below are some links to excerpts where the the collocation, “fierce egalitarianism,” is used:
"Anthropologists agree that pre-agricultural societies almost universally share a passionate commitment to so-called “fierce egalitarianism.” Because they are nomadic, such people accumulate as little personal property as possible, thus resulting in cultures organized around sharing. Food, shelter, child-care, protection from predators . . . all are scrupulously shared. Sharing is not just encouraged, it’s mandatory. Hoarding or hiding food, for example, is considered deeply shameful, almost unforgivable behavior in these societies." (LINK)
